With one-hour live presentations on various engineering, technology-related and construction topics, CEC Talks provides registrants with an opportunity to enhance their skill set and stay current on industry trends. Join our course instructors as they share their expertise, best practices and provide answers to your questions. Registrants will be awarded certificates of completion listing professional development hours for paid lectures. CEC Talks is open for registration to the public, and sessions will be hosted live via zoom.

An Introduction to Florida’s Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) Industry with Alumnus Enrique J. Tamayo

Over the last 26 years, Enrique J. Tamayo, PE, has administered over $300 million in transportation construction and design projects throughout South Florida. Currently, as RK&K’s South Florida Director, he oversees all project and contract related operations, and CEI personnel serving public and private sector clients in Southeast Florida, Southwest Florida and the Treasure Coast. Through this lecture, he will share insights into the CEI industry, its challenges and opportunities, the experiences he’s had that have shaped his career, and how those experiences can benefit young engineers and construction managers on their own professional journey.
