Welcome to the Division of External Programs (DEP)!
The DEP offers distance education courses and graduate, continuing and executive education and global programs with the College of Engineering & Computing. The DEP excels at creating programs that focus on STEM and leadership for the educational advancement, professional development and lifelong learning of our FIU students and the South Florida community. From specialized master’s degrees to exam preparation and in-demand certifications, our participants benefit from programs that are created with the assistance of industry board advisors and top experts. In our daily efforts, the DEP also works alongside department chairs, center directors and faculty members to identify corporate and global partners; develop, promote and manage executive and continuing education programs; and identify new opportunities and new markets for all programs.
